1. Your Introduction…

I EAT A LOT. I am tiny and thin but I am a big time food lover or as my name goes THE SUPER CHATORI!. Exploring new food joints and learning about food is something second to my nature. I love visiting restaurants and checking out what’s new, experimenting with food, learning about it and share my culinary experience. I am not a professional writer but I like to write and wish to be one like my Father.

I have a dream to change the gastronomic landscape of my city by making people aware about the food map of the entire world and BHOPALI FOOD in particular. I’m not a connoisseur but wish to be one in future.

2. What is your take on organic food, is it a big deal for you?

I personally like organic food because they are free from chemicals and fertilisers, and are healthy as compared to the non-organic food. But, I can’t say it’s a big deal for me as the nutrient factor & taste remains near about the same.

3. Do you time your breakfast, lunch & dinner or eat when you are hungry?

I eat something in every 2-3 hours. From my morning to evening, I take small meals during the day.

4. What inspired you to write a food blog?

I always had this passion for writing. May be it’s in my blood, since my dad is a journalist. Food being my first love got me into writing about it.

5. You try a new recipe and it does not turn out good, what will you do?

Let me tell you, I’ve faced this quiet often. Three things I do when the recipe does not turn out well:

(i) Figure out what went wrong.

(ii) Put my thinking caps on as to how I can improve or change this particular dish.

(iii) The most important one - Try again!!

6. Name three ingredients you consciously avoid or eliminate even when the recipe calls for it?

One particular ingredient I try and avoid is Ajinomoto.

7. Name three things you have to use in most recipes?

I think that depends on what I’m cooking. But, I use Salt, Sugar & Oil the most.

8. How important is eating meals together as a family to you?

We’ve made it mandatory to have at least one meal during the day together, no matter how busy we all are with our work. Sharing your meals with your loved ones is incredible and I cannot put them into words. It just brings you all the more closer to them.

9. You do not like a particular dish at your favourite restaurant, what will you do?

That’s a tricky one! Firstly, let me tell you, I’ve myself worked in a 5 star hotel and I’ve seen the Chefs work really hard in the kitchen. When you yourself cook, that time you realise that it’s not easy. Also, everybody has a different taste. One particular dish may not be liked by everyone. So, it particularly depends on person to person.

If I don’t like a particular Dish at my favourite restaurant, I might just call the restaurant manager or the Chef, appreciate them first for the efforts they took to prepare that particular dish. However, it didn’t match my taste buds and if they could either change that for me or make another one.

10. What are your favourite regional cuisines or specific foods?

Too many to name them! I am a Sindhi, so I love Sindhi Kadi. Apart from that if you ask me about my other favourites; Ravioli, Pasta, Pizza, Dim Sums, Pancakes happen to be my all- time favourites. :-)

11. If you could have any four people, from anywhere in place, over for dinner, who would they be?

Okay, then that has to be Grey Mahigan, George Calombaris, Vikas Khanna and Sarah Todd.

12. Give your Top 4 Food blogs that inspires you the most?

1. Alka Keswani : Sindhi Rasoi

2. Amrita Kaur Ramsinghani: Life Ki Recipe

3. Kalyan Karmakar: Finely Chopped

4. The Big Bhookad

13. How would you describe your site to new readers?

Recently, I switched from my blogspot & wordpress account and came up with my own domain. My blog is a one- stop destination for food. It covers Food Reviews & Experiences, Recipes, My Travel Food Experience, Food Video Logs, Mehman Nawazi; wherein people who share the same passion and love for food can voice their opinion, Soorma Section covers people & celebrities. All in all it’s about Food, Food and loads of Food. :-)

14. What’s the best and worst thing about being a food blogger?

Best thing: You get to eat, explore and share your culinary experience with the world.
Worst: Many people these days make perceptions about food bloggers as “Free Loaders.” Not everybody is the same. If I visit a restaurant I don’t disclose that I’m a food critic and I pay my bills. At least then I can give an honest review about my experience.

15. What’s the one super power wish you had?

I wish I had the super power to eat each and every kind of cuisine that this big world has to offer. There are so many hidden places in this world which we are not aware of but they have some of the most scrumptious food.

16. What are your tips to an aspiring blogger?

Be honest with your work. Everybody is a learner - so, just keep Learning! Never hesitate about it. Also, give an honest feedback and be an objective critic. Love and Respect what you Do. Only then you’ll get the feel to write about it. :-)
