#1 Raaj!!

An RJ’s job is not about non-stop talking, but about non-stop thinking. You have to have presence of mind and adapt as per the given situation and at the same time establish your own identity. It’s critical to understand your listeners and to gauge their interest and then of course sustain it through an audio medium. An RJ with Red 93.5 FM, Raaj is best known for his show ‘Morning No: 1’. He has been with Red FM for nearly Six years now. In a freewheeling conversation with me, the super talented and super cool, yet so down-to-earth Jan-born Capricorn, Raaj talks about his experience as an RJ, his hit radio show and where Red FM gains over others... Q: Tell us something about yourself. Hiii…people know me as RJ Raaj, and I am a very simple, easy going and people’s person! I am a home bird. I prefer to stay at home after a hard day of work. Q. What inspired you to become a radio jockey? This is sheer accident! One of my friends told me that the auditions are on; ...

Lion City - Fun Facts!

While many of us are familiar with Singapore's spotless streets, glitzy malls, dazzling food and expanding MRT network, little-known facts about the many familiar places and things around us may have escaped our notice. Get clued in to some fun facts and look at the city we call home with fresh eyes :-) How many Merlion Statues are there in Singapore? There are seven of these half-lion, half-fish mythical creatures in Singapore. The two most famous ones are situated at the Merlion Park, next to One Fullerton. The other five are at Sentosa, outside Singapore Tourism Board's office at Tourism Court, Faber Point at Mount Faber and two pink-granite ones flanking the public carpark entrance along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. Let's go Merlion hunting then! The Singapore Botanic Gardens used to have a Zoo? The zoo was established in 1875 by James Murton, the Superintendent of the Gardens at the time. Many animals were donated to the zoo, including a sloth bear, bush-tailed wall...

Clearer, Cleaner and Convenient! - iOS 10 Beta 3

Is iOS 10 public beta worth downloading early? I have just downloaded the iOS 10 public beta 3 version which is out now and - brace yourself - it's the most jolting, but logical refresh of Apple's iPhone mobile operating system that we may have seen! As soon as I downloaded iOS 10 and booted it up for the first time, I noticed the changes right away. These aren't minor tweaks and background enhancements like we saw in iOS 8 and iOS 9. It didn't even present me with the "swipe to unlock" screen that has greeted everyone since iPhone OS 1. It's gone, and in its place it asks me to press down on the home button. It makes sense eventually. Overall, iOS 10 remains a familiar, yet better laid out ecosystem for long-time Apple users. It's filled with more menu shortcuts to get used to and a lot of messaging features to explore. Here are my first impressions of this iOS 10 public beta, the unfinished update: Getting started with iOS 10 App...

Enter Sudhacars Museum and you would feel you have entered some weird place with full of cars, bikes and cycles in different sizes and shapes. These look really interesting! We wonder how one can climb into these cars. I must mention that this museum is a must-see in Hyderabad. The collection here consists mainly of the vintage cars and cars those that are built to form the shapes of different objects such as - double decker bus, camera, desktop computer, suitcase, double bed, burger, cup & saucer, cricket bat, cricket ball, football, golf ball, basket ball, a high-heel and even a toilet. We heard that all those are not just shapes but fully functional cars and the owner, Mr. Sudhakar drives them on Hyderabad roads on few occasions. A tricycle is also on the exhibition which holds the Guinness record of being the tallest tricycle of the world. The kids, especially, will be really excited to watch this collection. My experience has been incredible! I was pleasantly surprised ...
